At the core of the B’NAI SHALOM V’TIKVAH congregation is our Hebrew School. Hebrew education is offered for all grades from Kindergarten through to Grade 7. Confirmation classes are also available.
Our hebrew school recently joined forces with that of Beth Zion Congregation in Oshawa. This arrangement works well for both congregations as it allows us the opportunity to share educational resources. Classes take place at Beth Zion, at 144 King Street East, Oshawa.
Our school has four mixed-grade classes with students spanning two grade levels in each class. The class sizes do not exceed 18 students. Our curriculum has been developed from the best resources available from the Reform Congregations in the Greater Toronto area.
Hebrew classes are held on Tuesdays, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Sundays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Parental assistance and participation is encouraged.
